Revocation Substance Abuse Evaluation

A revocation substance abuse evaluation is a more in-depth version of a standard screening, typically required after a license revocation involving multiple DUI offenses or an extended suspension. The Arizona MVD requires this evaluation before it will consider reinstating a revoked license, and it looks closely at whether you are actually ready to drive safely again, not just whether time has passed.

What the evaluation reviews. A licensed clinician conducts a comprehensive review of your full substance use history, every prior screening, class, or treatment you have completed, and any relapses or gaps along the way. The evaluation also considers your current relationship with alcohol or drugs, any ongoing counseling or support, and the steps you have taken since your revocation.

Assessing readiness, honestly. This evaluation carries real weight with the MVD, so we take it seriously in both directions. If further treatment is genuinely needed before reinstatement is appropriate, we will tell you that directly and help you get there. If your history and current circumstances support readiness, we document that clearly and thoroughly so your evaluation stands up to review.

What you walk away with.
