Educational and therapeutic group counseling focused on accountability, healthy relationships, and preventing future violence.
Our domestic violence group sessions are educational and therapeutic group counseling for people who have been referred by the court, probation, or an attorney following a domestic violence charge or incident. The group is built around accountability, understanding the roots of conflict, and building real, practical skills for healthier relationships going forward.
What the group covers. Sessions work through the patterns that lead to conflict escalating into violence, including anger, control, communication breakdowns, and stress. Rather than simply reviewing rules, the group focuses on recognizing early warning signs in yourself, learning de-escalation and communication tools that actually hold up in the middle of a real disagreement, and taking honest ownership of past behavior.
A structured, respectful setting. Groups are led by an experienced facilitator and meet on a regular weekly schedule for the length of time required by the court or probation. Every participant is expected to show up, participate honestly, and treat the group and its members with respect. In return, the group is a space to do this work without added judgment beyond what is required to make real progress.
Meeting your court requirement. We track attendance and participation closely and provide the court, probation officer, or attorney with the documentation and completion certificate they require. If your case has a specific number of required sessions or a deadline, let us know when you enroll so we can plan your schedule around it.
